Last Day Reflections
- What did you learn about photography that you did not know before? -By taking this class I learned many knew things about photography. I remember just the other day I was looking at a magazine and noticed that a photo of one of my favorite stars was a silhouette. I know that before taking this class I never would have noticed something like that. It would have just been any ordinary picture to me, I normally only notice the model in a photo, but this time I noticed the photography. After seeing the photo my memory and the difficulty I went through trying to get that perfect silhouette and then the feeling of accomplishment I had when I finished, flashed through my mind and I couldn't help but wonder how that photographer did it, was it easy for them? Hard? Exciting? How bright was the light they used? I'm viewing the world in a completely different way than before and I never could've imagined that just one class could have so much of an effect on me.
- What did you learn about yourself this semester? -This semester I learned that if I put enough effort into it, I can take an amazing photo. I didn't think I was capable of taking many of the photos I took, and yes sometimes I did struggle in the process. But in the end it was all worth it and this just proves that with a little effort any one can be a photographer.
- What do you wish we had done that we did not? -If I could've chosen something for us to do that we did not it would probably just be more panoramas. I thought it was just the most amazing thing when I finished my panorama and probably showed 50 people who were all extremely confused at how I did it but also very impressed.
- What was your struggle? -Probably my biggest struggles in this class would be working in the dark room. One thing that we did in the dark room that I had an extremely hard time with was opening the film in the dark. My fingers must have been burning for the rest of the day.
- What did you conquer? -Turning a boring ordinary object into a beautiful masterpiece with the right lighting and the press of a button.
